Genealogy Lock-In

Date: October 19, 2018 Time: 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM
Event Description A series of eight programs, spearheaded by the Waco, Texas, library, will be shown at both the Genealogy Library and the Main Library. The programs are provided by the Genealogy Network of Texas (GNT), a state-wide initiative to connect libraries/genealogical societies and provide educational and research opportunities. Topics covered will include census records, brick-wall research, autosomal DNA, Native American ancestors, preserving photographs, using land records, and locating female ancestors. Visit the Genealogy Library to watch the livestreamed program. Enjoy snacks, prizes and the chance to talk with genealogical enthusiasts. Livestreaming at the Main Library will be a little quieter and a little more spacious. The main library will only host programs from 10 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. The same programs will be livestreamed at both libraries. Join us for a great opportunity for beginners and experts to pursue their family history and learn more about genealogy in general.
