Legislative Day in Austin

Event Description
Business and community representatives will travel to Austin to meet with elected officials, commissioners and lawmakers as the new legislative session gets underway. With a newly elected State Representative and State Senator for our area, this trip will be vital for Brown County in developing a relationship with state lawmakers.
The laws being proposed this year can directly impact your business and our community. This is your chance to talk with these lawmakers face to face in Austin.

Tentative Schedule:
7:30 AM Load bus (Depot parking lot)
8 AM: Bus departs
10:45 AM: Group Photo on Capital Steps
11 AM: Tour Capital and Lunch on your Own
1 PM : Legislative Briefings by State officials
4:30 PM to 7 PM: Reception at Austin Club Ballroom
7 PM: Depart Austin, return to Brownwood
