Event Description
The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce and the America's Small Business Development Center are offering a business workshop for Microsoft EXCEL. If you’re new to Microsoft EXCEL or just want to freshen up your skills, come join us to learn this valuable tool to manage your business. We will start with the ABC’s of the spreadsheet program and progress to learn some of the advanced features to make your financial tasks less time-consuming. This hands-on interactive workshop (BYOL - Bring Your Own Laptop and Bring Your Own Lunch) you will learn how to create, edit, format and print spreadsheets that focus on the business owner’s needs.
Some of the features you will learn and practice:
Information Entry (data, text)
Cut, Copy, Paste, Paste Special
Formatting (cells, columns, rows)
Cell References (general, absolute)
Basic Formulas (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Naming Sheet Tabs
Printing Challenges (title, headers, footers, margins)
Spreadsheet Templates (Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Report, Loan Amortization)
The workshop is free for Brownwood Chamber Members
Non-members cost $15 per person
Attendees need to bring their own laptop and may bring a lunch.
