Nov 11    Art Center Demonstration
Demonstration by Danica Lee
 
Artist Danica Lee will demonstrate how she makes Native American flutes and will also play music with her unique instruments.   She is of direct descent of the Shawnee Nation and follows in the footsteps of her ancestors.  Her artwork is energized by an ever present sense of adventure.  Danica's personal affinity with nature constitutes the foundation of her passion which inspires her artwork, flutes and music.
 
Come join us as we learn about how she got started as an artist and about the history of Native American flutes.  Ms. Lee's artwork is currently displayed at the Art Center's November Art Exhibit.  The demonstration is free and open to the public.

Nov 14    Monthly Christian Leaders Luncheon
The Christian Leaders & Pastor's Luncheon exits to unite leaders in the city of Brownwood for the sake of serving our city together, sharing needs that exist, uniting our prayers for common good, and collaborating for community concerns. The monthly luncheon is on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:00 pm Noon. It will be held at the banquet hall in the old Bank of America Building on the corner of Baker and Center Streets on the second floor. It is hosted by Arrow family ministries. We hope to have city officials attending, business and civic leaders as well as pastors.  Our next luncheon is on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. For RSVP call 325-646-4141.

Nov 17    November Chamber Luncheon - Giving Back to the Community
The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce will host their November luncheon featuring a program on how local businesses can give back to the community.   Several non-profit organizations will outline local programs that help those in need.  Confirmed presenters for this luncheon include Heart of Texas Children's Advocacy Center, Brownwood Area Community Garden, Family Services Center, United Way and Center for Life Resources. 

This is an annual luncheon held each year to help educate the business community on local charities and non-profit organizations so they can better understand their missions and benefits.

The November luncheon is sponsored by Dustin Larremore Texas Farm Bureau Insurance.

Several door prizes will be given away and this month's Aces Wild Cash Drawing is over $1600 and is sponsored by Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Nov 30    2017 Lighted Christmas Parade
The annual Christmas Under the Stars Lighted Parade features over 100 entries from classic cars, floats, marching bands and other vehicles, all decorated and lit for the holiday season. 

Thousands of residents and visitors pack Downtown Brownwood each year to watch the parade as an annual tradition. 

This year, the parade is sponsored by Texas Rock Crusher Railway. 

The parade will be held on Thursday, November 30th starting at 6:30 PM.  Awards will be given to entries in several categories.  

Parade entry fee is $10 per entry if received by November 20th.  Fee is $25 after that date.  Parade is limited to the first 100 entries.
