Jun 3    Heartland Rod Run Car Show and Lawnmower Drag Races
Heartland Rod Run, Car Show, Lawnmower drag races,vendors and Burnout Competition. See flyer for times and poker run info.
The lawnmower drag races will be held Saturday morning following the Heartland Cruisers parade. We encourage everyone to come out and join us so please bring your mowers and a helmet out to race! Practice solo runs will start at ( am with races starting at 9:30.There will be several different classes and 2 top eliminator of the day race. Jun 6    Comedian Bob Smiley
Christian Comedian Bob Smiley will be performing at Victory Life Church . The event is a fundraiser to support the Victory Life Academy Warrior Club. The show is open to the public.
According the performer’s Web Site, Roberto Antonio Smiley signed up for a stand-up competition at his Student Union Building. The prize money was $500, which was nearly five month’s rent for the “efficiency” closet Smiley was living in at the time. Sixteen years later, Bob is now one of the nation’s most in-demand and hilarious clean comedians and has opened for Tim Hawkins and several Christian music artists.

Jun 8 - Jun 12    Vietnam Veterans Memorial Moving Wall
The Moving Wall, the traveling half-sized replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., will make its third visit to Brown County.
The wall, which is inscribed with the names of more than 58,000 servicemen and servicewomen who lost their lives in the Vietnam War, will be available for viewing at the 36th Division Memorial Park in Brownwood from June 8-12.
Vietnam veteran volunteers built the Moving Wall, which went on display for the first time in 1984 in Tyler. The wall's two structures are taken throughout the United States from April to November and are kept at each site for about a week
Bringing the wall to Brown County is a project of the Pecan Valley Military Veterans and Family Support Coalition, which was formed about a year ago.
The wall was brought to Brown County in 1999 and in 2007 and was set up both times at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early.
The display will be open for viewing 24 hours a day from the time it opens until the time it is dismantled for transport to its next location

Jun 10    The Purple Hulls Gospel Concert
Sharing the Love of Christ through song. Jun 16    June Luncheon - Legislative Wrap-up with Representative Mike Lang
The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce's June luncheon will feature State Representative Mike Lang who will give an overview of the Texas 85th Legislative session that recently ended.   Lang will outline new laws passed this session and what they mean for Brown County.

The luncheon will be held Friday, June 16th at Howard Payne University from 11:30 AM to 1 PM.  Cost is $14 for the lunch payable to HPU.   The luncheon is sponsored by Bruner Auto Group.

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce and the America's Small Business Development Center are offering a business workshop for Microsoft EXCEL.  If you’re new to Microsoft EXCEL or just want to freshen up your skills, come join us to learn this valuable tool to manage your  business.  We will start with the ABC’s of the spreadsheet program and progress to learn some of the advanced features to make your financial tasks less time-consuming.  This hands-on interactive workshop  (BYOL  - Bring Your Own Laptop and Bring Your Own Lunch)  you will learn how to create, edit, format and print spreadsheets that focus on the business  owner’s needs.
