Now on Exhibit at The Lehnis Railroad Museum! This exhibit takes a sweeping look at Asian Pacific American history across a multitude of diverse cultures. From the builders of some of the earliest railroads to the modern day, this exhibit shows how the Asian culture continues to help write the remarkable story of America. Activities and crafts for children & adults every Saturday!

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce and the America's Small Business Development Center are offering a business training workshop for QuickBooks on Tuesday, August 8th from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce (600 E. Depot Street). 

The cost of the workshop is $79 per person and includes lunch, an 8 GB flash drive containing QuickBooks training manuals, practice lessons and handouts.  The class is limited to 10 students.

This workshop will focus on setting up QuickBooks, entering and paying bills, analyzing financial statements, working with lists tracking and paying sale tax, payroll with QuickBooks, working with bank account, using forms and letters, creating estimates and invoices and payments and deposits.

Presenters will give a preview of the upcoming school year, a look at their district's budget and a look back at accomplishments from the previous school year.  Brownwood ISD Superintendent Dr. Joe Young, Early ISD Superintendent Wes Beck, and Bangs ISD Superintendent Tony Truelove are scheduled to speak.

A question and answer session will also be available.

The Texas Community Farmers Market starts the 2017 season on April 8th! The location is where it used to be set up, under the Austin Avenue overpass, at Brady Avenue, close to Family Services. Produce, cottage foods, crafts, fresh eggs, and plants! Come to the market, meet your neighbors and SHOP LOCAL! On April 8th, we will have live music, featuring Keith Weber on guitar with vocals.
