Tickets are on sale now for the 15th Annual Good Samaritan Empty Bowls Project, slated for 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at the Brownwood Coliseum. Tickets are $15 for General Admission and $25 for the VIP Bowl Preview Hour from 3 to 4 p.m. All admission tickets include a meal of soup, bread & dessert. The Empty Bowls Project is the largest fundraiser of the year for Good Samaritan Ministries with 90% of the proceeds staying in Brown County to benefit local hunger ministries such as the Food Pantry, Food for Thought, Homebound Program, Homeless Boxes, the Deer Project, the Pig Project and the Mobile Food Pantry. The remaining 10% is donated to an international hunger relief organization.

| The Boys & Girls Club of Brown County announced on its Facebook page Monday that Rick Trevino will be performing at the annual Barn Dance fundraiser on Saturday, April 20 at 3 Springs Ranch in Zephyr.
The Boys & Girls Club of Brown County is currently confirming event sponsors, and any remaining tables will be available for purchase beginning March 4.

The Barn Dance has been the signature fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Club of Brown County for more than 20 years.

The Early Town Center will host an Earth Day event on Saturday, April 27 that will be highlighted by a 5K Run and Walk from 9 to 11 a.m. The 5K is sponsored by Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood to support Keep Brownwood Beautiful.
After the race, activities at the Town Center include a scavenger hunt and nature bingo brought to you by 3M, kite flying, a planting demo, face painting by Art-Z and the Lemongrass Boba Tea trailer. All registered kids ages 13 and under will receive a free kite.
